The owner was charged and convicted by the Swedish police (Kustbevakningen). Our vacation was terminated, and we had to leave the damaged boat and travel home. Since then, getting the boat repaired has been a fight and a major task. Many, many hours are spent. And it has taken eight months to get our sailing boat back. The owner of Checkpoint Finanz has the responsibility for the violent accident, but he still refuses to pay for the vacation days we lost, for the loss of access to our sailing boat, and for the days that my wife was on sick leave after the accident. This is not a responsible and trustworthy way of acting as an insurance broker!
