"People are starting to lose the sense of true beauty ... that's why we capture it, shape it into beautiful images and take it back out into the world" My name is Ramona Mertens and I live near Frankfurt with my husband and little son. ​ “The picture” has fascinated me my whole life, whether I was photographing other people’s feet under the table as a child or later standing in a darkroom for the very first time in a youth group and watching my negative become a positive. But it still took a lot of time before I actually held my first camera in my hands. ​ In 2011 I came to digital SLR photography. It has become a great passion and meanwhile much more than just "a picture". For me, looking through the viewfinder of a camera is more like Wonderland for Alice. Nothing is as it seems and everything is special . ​ I would like to capture things that are important to you. Photograph people you love and capture moments that should never go away.
