Martin Erd Photographer

Martin Erd is a photographer specialized on outdoor, sports, lifestyle and portraits. He currently lives in Nesselwang/Allgäu, but traveling and working in nature take up a huge part of his life. Photography is more than a job to Martin. It is a passion that enables him to explore places and get to know people – and capture that fleeting moment when both occurs in perfect harmony. Martin grew up on a farm in the Allgau. He got into photography through his Hobby: skateboarding. As a youth he started capturing skate trips with friends on his analogue camera. Over time, his equipment got more sophisticated and his motives more diverse. He completed a professional apprenticeship in photography and realized that his two greatest passions had a lot in common: whether you’re talking about a skateboard trick or the perfect shot – both require utter commitment, the right focus and a sure feeling for timing. Photographs tell stories and convey moods. But not without the right atmosphere on set, which is why Martin sees it as a big part of his job to spark excitement in all participants in a project.
