Photographers live here and now... they usually measure the pulse of time with hundredths of a second. The camera viewfinder reduces the field of view and reduces the subject to its essentials: the general becomes the special. In the interplay of colour, form and light , an image of reality is created in the camera. When released, it becomes my image, my reality, shaped by my personality. Photography is a journey through time: photography always happens in the present, but the image content is always in the past and is also capable of influencing the future.
