Planning a proposal from Canada for a location in Germany can be both exciting and stressful. From our very first consultation, Chris completely alleviated that pressure. She was exceptionally communicative, supportive, and fluent in English, which made coordinating across time zones entirely seamless. It was also deeply important to us to work with an LGBTQIA+-friendly vendor, and Chris created a warm, safe, and welcoming environment from day one.
Her preparation and process are top-tier. She focuses heavily on storytelling, taking the time to truly learn about us as a couple before we ever set foot in front of the lens. Leading up to the big day, she prepared a detailed mood board with exact location options within the Herrenhausen Great Garden, complete with a rain backup plan just in case. On the day of the shoot, she arrived early, completely unhurried, and even shared local knowledge about the gardens as an impromptu guide.
The shoot itself was effortless. Instead of stiff, forced posing, Chris focused on capturing our natural interactions as we wandered through the garden—at times, I completely forgot she was there. She was also wonderfully receptive to our ideas on the spot, like when my partner suggested capturing the rainbow formed by the sunlight hitting the water fountain spray.
As for the final images: they are simply gorgeous. Delivered in under a week (far exceeding the expected 4-week timeline), her editing has a timeless, matte aesthetic with soft warm tones. The composition is flawless—expertly framed, perfectly leveled, with beautiful depth of field and striking visual lines that draw you right into the moment.
If you are looking for a skilled, thoughtful, and dependable photographer in Hannover, I cannot recommend Chris enough.
